Billing Manager, Pasco, WA
SUMMARY: Billing Manager is responsible for leading the billing team and managing the revenue cycle including all billing and collections activities for patient accounts across the organization. Responsible for accurate and timely billing, data entry, rate determination, insurance contracts, charge corrections, payment entry, adjustments, invoice/denial corrections, and other activities performed by the department. Ensures collections of receivables from government entities, private insurance and patient payments are timely and accurately applied. Works across the organization to create efficient workflows in the revenue cycle. Develops monthly statistical reporting for management and dashboard reporting for management of the department. Ensures that the billing and related functions of the practice management system are operating effectively. Provides training to the department and other groups in the organization.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree preferred, Must have at least ten years of progressive experience in billing. In-depth knowledge of ICD-9/10, CPT and other coding and documentation requirements. Experience in a multi-specialty healthcare setting. Five plus years of Manager/Supervisory experience. CPC preferred. Experience with a large complex practice management system (NextGen, Epic, etc.); knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party billing rules and regulations; Strong MS suite skills.
