As a key member of our leadership team, you will help to continually develop the results-driven initiatives that define our success and are transforming healthcare.
The purpose of this position is to manage and monitor the daily operations of utilization, support care delivery improve on-going access to care at Virginia Mason Hospital. The manager is accountable for the operational, financial, and human resource management of the department. The responsibilities includes utilization review, compliance with Center for Medicaid and Medicare's rules and regulations, improvement of patient flow, denial prevention and improvement of the revenue cycle.
- This position requires a current Washington State licensure as an RN, a Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related field.
- 5 years of hospital care team experience.
- Minimum of three years supervisory experience.
- Advanced knowledge of insurance rules and regulations, clinical expertise, and proven proficiency in utilization management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
- A Master's degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.
