Clinical Nurse Manager – Perioperative Services
The Clinical Manager Perioperative Services position at EvergreenHealth Monroe (EHM), reporting to the CNO, has administrative responsibility for the OR, PACU, Sterilization, outpatient GI, pain procedures, and ACU. OR specialty areas include orthopedics, general, gyn, urology, eyes, and ENT. The successful candidate will ensure that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures, and program plans of the hospital. Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation of new employees, continuing education of staff, and evaluation of staff job performance and competency. Initiates and participates in Quality Improvement and department Performance Improvement activities. Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies including the Department of Health and DNV, participates in strategic planning and budgeting processes, responsible for personnel management including hiring, competencies, evaluations, staff development, corrective action processes and termination. Maintains unit administration including scheduling and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Assumes primary responsibility for establishing and adhering to department budget and labor distribution responsive to patient census. Collaborates with medical staff, all departments, and services at EHM to achieve goals and strategic objectives. Maintains personal competent clinical nursing skills.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of WA. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire date. Minimum of 3 years perioperative nursing experience with 3 plus year(s) of leadership in a perioperative, ambulatory surgical center or other related area. Requires BSN, with preference to candidates with MSN.
