Shingletown Medical Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to providing high-quality, compassionate, and accessible healthcare to our rural community. Position Overview:


We are seeking a community-oriented and mission-driven physician, Medical Director to lead our clinical team. This role can be structured as part-time or full-time, in person/on-site, offering flexibility for the right candidate. The Medical Director will provide both direct patient care and clinical leadership, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance across all services.



Responsibilities:



  • Provide clinical leadership and direction to medical, nursing, and support staff.

  • Maintain a panel of patients, delivering compassionate, evidence-based primary care.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer, leadership team, and Board of Directors on strategic planning.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, credentialing, and quality standards maintained by a community clinic.

  • Mentor and support Advanced Practice Providers, promoting professional growth and teamwork.

  • Represent the health center in community, professional, and public health initiatives.


Qualifications :



  • MD or DO degree with current licensure to practice in California.

  • Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (preferred).

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience, with leadership experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong commitment to serving underserved populations and advancing healthcare equity.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working in an FQHC or rural healthcare setting (preferred)
