Location: Yakima Valley, Washington

Compensation Range: $352,000 – $457,000, commensurate with experience



Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC), one of the largest and most respected community health centers in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a collaborative, mission-driven, and visionary operational leader to serve as its next Chief Operations Officer (COO).



About YVFWC


Founded in 1978 to address healthcare disparities among seasonal and migrant farm workers, YVFWC has grown to serve over 200,000 patients annually across 40+ clinics in Washington and Oregon. With a team of more than 2,000 employees and 373 providers, YVFWC delivers comprehensive, compassionate care—including medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and wellness services—regardless of patients’ ability to pay.



YVFWC is Joint Commission certified, a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home, and a leader in value-based care and health equity.



The Opportunity


Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for:



  • Shaping and executing strategic direction aligned with YVFWC’s mission.

  • Leading operations across medical, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, and wellness programs.

  • Driving operational excellence, compliance, and innovation.

  • Partnering with the Chief Health Officer in a dyad leadership model to align clinical and operational strategies.

  • Championing technology integration and data-driven decision-making.

  • Building strong community relationships and fostering a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities



  • Oversee multi-site operations and complex budgets.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation standards.

  • Lead initiatives to improve patient access, satisfaction, and health outcomes.

  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams.

  • Represent YVFWC externally and build strategic partnerships.


Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare operations leadership, including 5 years in a senior/executive role.

  • Experience in FQHCs, integrated delivery systems, or multi-state healthcare organizations preferred.

  • Proven success in dyad leadership, technology implementation, and organizational transformation.
